Work Experience and Education
Adam is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). He holds a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Arts in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Waterloo. Adam has supported adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions.
Adam primarily draws from CBT, ACT, DBT, and motivational interviewing approaches. He believes therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and grounded in the understanding that people are doing the best they can with the skills and resources available to them. Adam works alongside clients to better understand their experiences, identify what matters most to them, and develop practical skills to help them move toward meaningful change.
Adam strives to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. He believes therapy can be both a place to talk openly and a place to learn concrete tools for navigating difficult emotions, relationships, and life challenges. With a background in therapeutic recreation, fitness, coaching, education, and mental health, Adam takes a holistic and strengths-based approach, helping clients build greater self-understanding, confidence, and flexibility in navigating life.
When not working, Adam enjoys going to the gym, playing video games, reading fantasy novels, walking his dog, and, the occasional reality TV show.
