Work Experience and Education
Jonathan is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) whose work is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the complexity of human experience. He holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, where his research explored personality development and identity across the lifespan.
Jonathan works with individuals between the ages of 12 (adolescents) and 85+, supporting clients with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, identity concerns, and life transitions. He has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD, OCD, and ASD-related experiences. Drawing from both professional training and lived experience with ADHD and OCD himself, Jonathan is especially attuned to how stress, shame, and unmet expectations impact neurodivergent nervous systems.
His therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, offering a safe, empathic, and collaborative space where clients can explore their inner world without judgment. He integrates insights from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy, always adapting his approach to the client rather than the other way around. Jonathan is less interested in “fixing” problems and more focused on supporting meaningful, lasting change that emerges from within.
Jonathan believes therapy is most effective when it honours each person’s pace, values, and capacity for growth. His work is oriented towards helping clients live with greater authenticity, resilience, and a renewed sense of meaning.
