Work Experience and Education

Shannon Norkett is a graduate of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Shannon first pursued a Bachelor of

Arts in Social Development Studies with a minor in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. She later completed a diploma in Early Childhood Education and earned a certificate in Social Work to support her work with children and families.


Shannon has worked in the education sector for the past ten years, supporting children and youth in the classroom and through caregiving

roles. She works closely with families to build stability, resilience, and connection and to provide consistent, trauma-informed care that

addresses developmental and emotional needs.


Shannon brings warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine care to her work as a counsellor. She is passionate about helping children and adults feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey. Her approach is collaborative and strengthsbased, rooted in connection, curiosity, and

compassion.
