Work Experience and Education
Joanna is a student therapist who is currently completing her Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Wilfrid Laurier University. Prior to this, Joanna has worked at a grief support agency where she developed a passion for connecting and collaborating with others through various life transitions and building accessible mental health supports and resources throughout the region.
Joanna’s primary focus is working with individuals who are looking for support in areas including: depression, anxiety, grief/loss, self-esteem, identity, LGBTQ+ exploration, relationship issues, stress, emotional regulation, life transitions and spirituality.
Using CBT as her primary approach, Joanna understands therapy as being a collaborative experience between each client and herself, where goals and strategies are explored and built together.
In her spare time, Joanna enjoys playing her musical instruments, being out in nature, reading her favourite novels, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
